Jamie and Julie Sellers. Jamie will be our speaker for the weekend.
Jamie has been married to Julie for 28 years. They are parents of 3 and have 6 grandchildren. They live in St. Augustine Beach, Florida. Jamie is an avid waterman. Fishing and surfing are the main pastimes along with lots of relational time with family and friends. He grew up outside the church and found his way in soon after college. He graduated from the University of North Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. After a radical conversion experience, Jamie found himself on a fast track to church leadership which included becoming an elder in his church, joining staff, and going to seminary at Covenant Theological Seminary graduating in 2010 with an MDIV. Jamie loves to help people grow in their walk with Jesus. Jamie and Julie met during their early church years post-college and pre-seminary. They embraced church leadership together regularly hosting gatherings in their home. Seminary was the beginning of a rollercoaster ride with church experience. Visiting many different churches they learned of the breadth of the people of God. This led to helping with planting a church during seminary and then planting a community church after moving home. Exhaustion led Jamie out of professional ministry and bouncing around local churches for a few years. Now Jamie works with Christian non-profits, both small and large, in the arena of fundraising to fuel their mission. The Sellers are active in their local church and Julie is a graduate of the Renovare Institute for Christian Spiritual Formation. Jamie describes himself as a reformed, evangelical, Christian with charismatic, contemplative, and sacramental leanings. Basically, a mix of the many faith experiences of his life.
