I love camping ministry and the impact it has on peoples lives!  “Way Back” in 1994 I came to Seneca Hills for the first time during a Memorial Day Camp.  What many people didn’t know was my life was an absolute wreck.  I had been dismissed from military school in January and was angry and depressed to say the least.  Over the weekend, I heard about Jesus that I never knew… and I grew up in the church my entire life.  Although I gave my life to the Lord in the summer of 1991, it wasn’t until 1994 that I learned to start to walk faithfully as I learned to fully surrender each day to the Lord.  Because the Lord has so deeply impacted my life over the Memorial Day weekend I applied for a summer staff position and after being accepted, I quit a very established job to follow after God.  Subsequently, I worked for Seneca Hills for the next three summers and during this time God started to establish in my heart a different direction for my life.

I had a dream of a life deeply involved in music performance and/or music education.  But during the summer of 1997, God revealed to me while I was on missions trip in East Asia that He was indeed calling me to youth/worship ministry.  After I came back from East Asia, I finished up my undergraduate in Music Education and left that fall for seminary.

Once again, life changed dramatically in a great way in 1999 as I got married to Sue.  We set out on living a life together that would challenge what it really means to surrender to God in every area of our lives.  Over the last two decades life together has changed in some amazing ways.  I finished Seminary, Sue finished her masters in Special Education, I left the market place and started full time ministry, and we started a family.  Isaiah was born in 2006; Bekah was born in 2008, and we adopted Alycn and Aryiah in 2013.  Just like the church in Acts 6 we started multiplying and not just adding.

I have been in “full-time” ministry for 21 years, 12 in youth ministry and 11 as a Senior Pastor now.  We spent the last 3 years living in New Wilmington, Pa and serving as the full-time pastor at First United Brethren in Christ Church.
