2024: A Year of Transformative Growth at Seneca Hills

As we reflect on 2024, it’s incredible to see all that has been accomplished at Seneca Hills Bible Camp and Retreat Center. From property upgrades to strategic enhancements, we’ve been blessed with opportunities to improve our facilities and further our mission of leading people to Jesus Christ. Let’s take a closer look at the many ways God has moved this past year.

Major Improvements Across the Property

This year, we’ve been hard at work upgrading our facilities to ensure a better experience for our campers, parents, and guests. Some of the highlights include:

• New Dining Hall Roof, Floors, Sound Panels, and Tables: The heart of fellowship at camp has been transformed. The new roof ensures a weather-tight environment, while the updated flooring, sound proofing panels, and tables enhance comfort and aesthetics, making every meal feel like a special occasion.
• Recreation Center Updates: The rec center now boasts a brand-new floor, creating a safer and more enjoyable space for games and activities. Whether it’s a rainy day or an evening gathering, this space is ready for endless memories.
• Playground by the Craft Barn: We’ve added a brand-new playground area, providing a safe and fun place for kids to play and connect with one another. This addition is already a favorite spot for our youngest campers.
• Infrastructure Enhancements: Critical updates include a new water main line to ensure reliable water service and the strategic move of power lines underground, improving safety and aesthetics across the property.
• Ongoing Office Remodel: To better serve our community and operate more efficiently, we’ve begun a complete office remodel, which is set to be finished before summer 2025. This will allow our team to work more effectively and continue planning unforgettable camp experiences.

Why These Updates Matter

While these property improvements are exciting on their own, they serve a deeper purpose. Each project is designed to help us better fulfill our mission of leading people to Jesus Christ. By creating a welcoming, safe, and functional environment, we make space for campers and guests to encounter God in meaningful ways.

Every detail matters—from the roof over their heads during meals to the playground where children laugh and play. Each improvement reflects our commitment to providing the best possible environment for spiritual growth, fellowship, and fun.

As we celebrate these accomplishments, we’re reminded that the work of ministry is never done. These upgrades are part of a larger vision to prepare Seneca Hills for many more years of faithful service. We’re excited for what’s ahead in 2025, including the completion of our office remodel and more plans to enhance the camp experience.
